Attorney Profile

Jonathan Diffley has represented clients throughout Maryland and the District of Columbia in a wide array of estate planning, dispute resolution and other legal matters.  Prior to founding his own practice, Jonathan was an attorney at a large area law firm, and as an associate in the firm's commercial litigation department, Jonathan diligently counseled clients through complex business disputes arising from business contracts, real estate transactions and financial agreements.

Jonathan now takes that high-powered legal experience, particularly his prior work with litigation and settlement negotiations, and offers a sophisticated and pragmatic approach to individuals and their families at Diffley, LLP, who may not find value in the services of a large law firm.

Before law school, Jonathan served as a press secretary for a congressional campaign in Indiana and later for a public relations firm in Washington.  He earned his undergraduate degree in political science from the University of Notre Dame, in South Bend, Indiana and a law degree from the Columbus School of Law at Catholic University, in Washington, DC.

During law school, Jonathan interned with the Hon. William G. Connolly in the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland, clerked at Shulman, Rogers, Gandal, Pordy & Ecker, P.A., and served as a Note & Comment Editor for the Catholic University Law Review.  Jonathan had lived in the Washington metropolitan area for nearly two decades and recently moved to Manhattan with his wife and two children. Upon admission to the New York Bar, Jonathan plans to restart his legal practice.
